Applications for a Certificate of Excellence are open all year round
With the loss of government funding local public services are being reinvented. Learning from each other reduces the cost of change and increases the likelihood of success. At iESE we believe it's important to continually recognise and champion examples of innovation and best practice. That's why now you can apply for an iESE Certificate of Excellence award at any time throughout the year.
A COE submission can be for the whole organisation, a department or an individual project. Unlike the iESE Transformation Awards, there are no categories for the Certificate of Excellence, leaving it a blank canvas for you to show us anything that you feel deserves recognition.
Our Certificates of Excellence are awarded at the iESE autumn conference, where we will take the opportunity to award organisations with the COE certificate. COE submissions are also fast-tracked into the nomination pool for the Public Sector Transformation Awards 2020.
We also have a feature in TRANSFORM magazine, which goes into detail about the projects that have been awarded a COE as a platform to share your successes in the public sector. Below are the the previous winners of a Certificate of Excellence:
- Insight Bristol – Data Analytics Hub
- Surrey County Council – Analytics Hub
- Metropolitan Police - One Met Model (OMM)
- South Staffordshire Council - Efficiency & Income Plan
- The Kent Public Service Network - Govroam
- Cheltenham Borough Council's Licensing Team
The Excellence Award is open to any public body in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and their partners in the voluntary community and private sector; the public body must make the submission for the certificate of excellence.
